Our first-class programs are designed and maintained by Olympic swimmer and Commonwealth Gold and Silver Medallist, Darren Lange, to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle for life by offering water safety, water confidence, learn to swim and squad programs. Our programs are designed for children from 3 months of age all the way up to adults. Students progress through our 16-stage lesson structure at their own pace mastering the skills in a level before advancing to the next. We believe we have the very best and most comprehensive program to get your child loving the water for a lifetime of fitness and health.

The DLSA is one of the biggest swim programs in South-East Queensland, conducting more than 2,500 lessons per week.

DLSA programs and lesson plans are developed and maintained by Commonwealth Games Gold and Silver Medallist and Olympic Swimmer, Darren Lange. Darren draws upon his 10 years of elite international competition as well as his 30 years of teaching experience to deliver a successful program that delivers results.

DLSA is the only Toowoomba program to offer Perpetual Programming. Perpetual Programming is widely accepted around Australia as the best way to effectively develop and maintain the skill and confidence needed to remain safe in and around the water.
With more than 1900 lessons per week in our private lessons programs and 3000 lessons per week in the DLSA Schools Program, it takes a sizable and dedicated team of professionals to maintain the DLSA standard of excellence. We take pride in having one of the most highly trained teams in the region. We put a high emphasis on ensuring our teachers continue to develop their skill as instructors with regular workshops held by Darren Lange and ongoing assessing and individual training.

DLSA teachers join the program with a minimum ‘national standard’ Swim Australia and /or Green Licence certification.

All teachers must pass Darren Lange’s personalised training program before conducting their own classes. This course entails 25 hours of practical observation in the water, plus more than 6 hours of theoretical workshops, assessments and exams.

Teachers are regularly assessed, graded and interviewed by the DLSA Senior Teaching Team and/or Darren himself.
THREE FANTASTIC LOCATIONS
Our pools are indoors and heated to a comfortable teaching temperature, between 30 and 34 degrees for year round swimming and seamless learning. The pools are specifically designed for teaching and coaching and we utilise an extensive in-water ledge system to provide comfortable depths for even the most timid young swimmer. At Wilsonton Pool, we provide comfortable, heated change facilities, parent viewing areas and children’s homework area.

In-water Submersible Ledge Systems (exclusively designed by Darren Lange) which means we are able to provide teaching depths specific to ages and confidence levels.

FLEXIBLE PAYMENT AND LESSON POLICIES
We know that all families are different and so we offer a range of family friendly options such as flexible payment terms and free make-ups for missed lessons.

You can pay your swimming fees by cash, Visa, Mastercard, pre-paid gift vouchers or direct deposit straight from your bank to ours or use our Customer Portal or Smartphone App.

Pre-pay for your block of lessons in full before the designated date and take advantage of our great Pre-Pay 'n' Save discount rate.

Direct Debit fee payments are available and very popular. This breaks your annual swimming fees into 12 DISCOUNTED monthly payments that automatically debit from your account at the beginning of each month.

Our Standard Payment Policy is designed to spread the cost of your lessons out, simply pay half payment (50%) of fees by week 2 of the program, with the balance due by week 4.

We reserve a special Family Discount Rate for those families who enrol 3 or more children into a program. This rate represents up to a 28% discount off our standard lesson rate and is payable as per our Standard Payment Policy.
