I just wanted to say how fantastic Charlene is!! She teaches my son and is so wonderful with him. Patient but firm which is exactly what he needs. He has come a long way with his confidence in the water thanks to Charlene!

My daughter started here a few months ago, and loves it. The games and songs used to teach the young kids is the perfect way to teach water safety whilst also providing a fun, playful environment, that encourages kids to enjoy the water. If you are thinking about sending your kids here, you won't be disappointed.

We were tossing up between here and another place but when my son and I came we met Virginia and he just adored her from the get go... Virginia is brilliant with the kids and really gets both the parents and children engaged... you can really tell she loves what she does!!! So glad we chose to check DLSA out as I didn't think my little boy would enjoy or learn as much as he has in such a short time.

Good afternoon, I would like to thank you for allowing Virginia to come and speak with our kindy children about water safety. Virginia was very informative with the information she was talking about with the children and showed a relationship with the children by involving them and asking questions. As an educator that was in the room at the time of presentation, feel that she was professional in her postion and relayed important information to the children about the water safety, that they were then able to recall in a group conversation after Virginia was finished. The drawing activity was a fantastic way to end the session as this allowed the children to show and draw what they had learnt from this experience. I would recommend Virginia to come back again. Thank you again Cassy

Hi, I just wanted to say thank you to all the staff at DLSA Wilsonton. We have been swimming here for 5.5 years. Kylie at the desk is amazing and is able to help out with pretty much everything. Megan is a wonderful teacher. My daughters both have her as their squad teacher and they adore her. Megan pushes them to work hard while enjoying the lessons at the same time. My son has had Megan also in water confidence classes and she was wonderful for him. She helps the children gain confidence, the kids have fun and show great improvement in her class. Thank you so much Megan!

Hi - Could you please pass on to management and Patrea, a big thank you for how well Patrea looked after our grandson, as he transitioned to a class without us in the pool with him. He was quite clingy and not wanting to get in without Pa but Patrea took very good care of him and he did much better than we had envisioned :) Thanking you

We can't give you a big enough rap. From the admin team to the swim instructors we have had a really positive experience at Centenary Heights. We will come back in Spring. Thanks so much. We have had quite a few instructors with make up lessons and everyone has been professional and so caring. Charlie has been so comfortable with you all and he is now, in 6 months moved from WC1 to WC3. We didn't expect him to thrive in the water but it's the quality of teaching that has helped him to progress so quickly.

Thanks Guys – just wanted to say thank you to Andrea who has been Jesse’s teacher. Andrea is a wonderful, kind and fantastic teacher – even through the glass wall each week – you can see from her actions and facial expressions just how engaging she is to the children. My son adores swimming lessons and would come every day if he could! He must only enjoy it because of the great environment and team you have, so I just wanted to let you know how wonderful we think Andrea is.

We look forward to meeting Virginia – no doubt she will be just as fantastic as the rest of you team :)

Have a great week.

We have now been with DLSA for over 4yrs, and we've had a range of teachers in this time. I cannot say how grateful i am of your willingness to help my son when he was diagnosed autism, making a new class so he can continue and giving him the same opportunity that the other kids have. I have seen both my sons confidence increase with there weekly lessons, and they both cannot wait till Saturday rolls around so it's swimming day.

Recently my son has had to change swim teachers, this is always a time of anxiety but the way in which Andrea has smoothly made this transition for my son is amazing. He knows what is expected of him during his lessons, and she pushed him weekly. I must commend her on her communication skills and patience dealing with my son.

I must also give my heartfelt thanks to Kylie and Jerome who recently made the choice to put my boys in the same lesson, this meant the world to them. They are unable to go to the same school so miss out on some of the brother bonding things that so many take for granted. Watching them in the pool together pushing each other to succeed. And for my eldest to be able to do the "big brother" job of helping his little bro means the world.

I cannot thank you and all the staff enough, for all the people who have helped my sons grow into the confident young men they are now.

Thank you

As a young adult the decision to learn to swim was very intimidating - I had never properly learned. All my friends could swim, and I often was frustrated and disappointed that I couldn't participate in fun times with them, especially since I love water. So it was with trepidation but determination that I finally enquired regarding adult swimming lessons. It was the best decision I could possibly have made. The amazing staff banished my embarrassment straight away and made me feel comfortable with learning. Their friendly nature and commitment to helping me get to where I want to be is very encouraging. Even thought I'm only just starting, I feel like I've made great progress. I highly recommend the Adult Learn to Swim program.

Hello ladies

A massively huge thank you to Megan for all her hard work with Lael.

Over the weekend we went to the Redcliffe lagoon Lael was having a ball he decided to get out and jump in the deep end of the lagoon.

I don't remember even getting to him, I just bolted ( I was already on my way when I saw him on the side of the deep end )

Needless to say he jumped as all I heard once was help mummy, as I was soaring through the water I saw him go down to the bottom and push himself up he was not panicking I saw him go down twice when I got to him I grabbed him and lifted him out of the water to my side, I turned and I had a friend who was running over also.

It was scary but it was great that he didn't panic !!

So a big thanks to Megan , Virginia, Maxine, Cathy, Karen and Nikki!!

Thank you all for your hard work and instilling these preventAble technics

It saved Laels life !!

Thank you

Hi my name is Hope McMillan. My 3 girls started swimming lessons at your wilsonton pool at the beginning of this term. Lizzy 7 was super excited to start. Lizzy now is swimming to an extent and is confidant in the water. Emily 4.5 well she didn't want to go. She was so scared about the water even the night before she was refusing to go to the point of crying!! Haha. Dad and I made her go and by the end if the very first lesson she loved it and all she kept saying was "when do I swim again" that's amazing! The instructor was warm and friendly and won Emily over straight away.

I also have Ebony who is now 5.5 months now she started aqua play at 4 months. I didn't really no what to expect going into aqua play with Ebony, all I knew was that there was no way I was going to put my little baby under the water. That was very daunting for me! I was so scared but put the brave face on while there! But I went with her as my husband really wanted her to start! The instructor is amazing and very knowledgeable and eased my worries by the end I that first lesson. However I still did think to myself I wasn't putting her under water! A few lessons later I had listened to the instructor and practiced practiced practiced in the shower 1...2...3. We went to our lesson and the instructor was doing her under the bridge exercise with Ebony 1...2...3 under the tube and she said she is nearly ready to go under the water!! I said to her how do you know she is almost ready to go under water? She explained the signs that Ebony would show when she was ready! A few days later in the shower she did exactly what she said she would do. I was amazed that she was right. Next lesson Ebony wet under the water with ease!! I am so proud and happy that she now can confidently go under water and she is learning more and doing more every week she goes!

The instructors and Staff, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for teaching my girls how to swim and be safe in the pool! This is a life saving skill!! I thank you for having an awesome program that my girls learn and most importantly feel safe when in the water! The staff are always friendly and just plain lovely!

Thanks again Wilsonton DLSA!

I'm writing to formally congratulate DLSA on the great job you do! I recently went to a make up lesson with my daughter Olivia which was held by Cathy. She isn't our regular teacher but I thought she was fantastic! I loved her approach and she had practical explanations for everything we did. She challenged the children which my daughter responded to positively. We have also enjoyed our lessons with Karmen and Karen. Keep up the good work DLSA! Regards Connie Boucher

Just wanted to say we've done a couple of make up lessons with Cathy on a Saturday, and have found her so good in the way she explains everything, and pushes Charlie a bit more. She loves swimming and has learnt so much more in those few lessons with Cathy, so thank you very much, she's been great!!! Always good to pass on positive feedback....I know in my job, people are always quick to whinge, but not many actually say when they're happy with someone, so thanks!!!

Kind regards,

I would like to take this opportunity to write a recommendation for learn-to-swim teacher Patrea. Under Patrea's instruction my son Lachlan 's swimming skills have improved dramatically in a short period of time. Patrea's rapport with Lachlan is obvious as is her firm yet professional approach during class. In short, Patrea is a fantastic learn-to-swim teacher and is an asset to the DLSA team. I would also like to thank Kylie for providing a warm and friendly atmosphere at DLSA Wilsonton. Kylie's 'over and above' assistance in finding my son class times that suit is greatly appreciated. Regards Sara Cameron and family

If you want a great place to take your kids for swimming lessons, it’s got to be the Darren Lange Swimming Academy. They are so nice and the kids have heaps of fun

Write a recommendation the little box says. Well if I could I would throw a parade for this place! My 6 year old son Tre has been attending DLSA since mid last year, starting in Water Confidence 1.

Today, he just went up to Learn to Swim 2. So what! Most of you are thinking! Well, my son is autistic (and may I add, a HORRIBLE listener and a nightmare to keep on task). The fact that each of the girls have had him has been able to not only put up with his crazy behaviour, but teach him how to swim while still allowing him to have fun just makes my heart swell.

A special shout out to Kimberly, who before having Tre had no experience with a child with autism. Ask anyone who has met Tre, he can be a handful! It's thanks to her teaching, patience and flexibility that he has gone up a level today. So, special needs child or not, I would recommend this place to the world. It has done so much for my son in other aspects in his life, other then teaching him how to swim. Thank you DLSA for your continued support and understanding.

Would just like to thank you and the staff ( Maxine, Karen, Carly, Karmen, Virginia and Patrea) for the last two years. Both my girls have learnt to swim and now enjoy water, and I now also enjoy swimming with them. Also thanks to admin staff Lisa and Kylie for looking out for my girls helping get their class time to match or looking after Aimee when I have still been in the pool.

But please help me is there a swim school you can recommend me for Brisbane north side - living in upper Kedron. I have been given the name of a school from another family but they do not have good results.

I would love to keep up with the swimming as they have both asked to keep doing it and now knowing how confident they are I will miss Darren Lange's swim school

Kind regards
Michelle Aimee and Hailey
